Fall...Or How Do I Look? (2006)

Fall...or how do I look? is fourth in the series of theatre shows by the The Hats Theatre. In three previous shows, stages of a human life have been ordered in a specific way in accordance with seasons. This was merely the initial idea, which has been refined and elaborated in the process of making these shows, and other issues that aroused interest and inspiration of the author, musicians and dancers during the creation of shows were integrated in it, issues sometimes associated with our immediate surrounding and sometimes with some global occurrences. Fall...or How Do I Look? is the fourth show from the seasons' cycle. It deals with women, their problems in contemporary society, the ways they adjust to their surroundings, constant dissatisfaction or insecurity they are trying to hide in various ways. Also, the show tackles, in the way characteristic of The Hats Theatre, social changes and current affairs, women's position in transition, male-female relations in Serbia nowadays... As always, the costume is one of the most important elements of this theatre's show. The performance combines several kinds of artistic expression: movement, electronic music, cabaret music songs and a very precise lighting design. Specific of the fourth show in this series is music by the band Xploding Plastix from Norway, whose members are Jens Petter Nilsen and Hallvard Wennersberg Hagen.
